Panola Crossings Development
This project consisted of the layout, design and permitting of a 16 acre commercial development. The development is planned to have a mixture of uses that may include, retail shopping, anchor store, restaurants, office condominiums, or residential apartments.
Challenges to this project included working around future plans to widen and improve Panola Road. The road is being slightly realigned in this area. Our project coordinated with the GA DOT and Dekalb County for the placement of the buildings, parking, entrances and improvements as well as the placement of a traffic signal to correspond and complement the design of the future road widening project. Additionally this project is located within the new County I-20 overlay district, which had to be coordinated with the county.
This project includes a regional detention facility to take care of water quality and detention considerations for the entire development, a sanitary sewer extension, traffic signalization, and plans for future widening.
